Economic Development
Sub-Regional Partnership
From August 2005, The Mersey Partnership (TMP) formally adopted responsibility for the economic development and regeneration of the Merseyside region. TMP is now the region's recognised Sub Regional Partnership working closely with the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA). The Memorandum of Understanding between NWDA and TMP marked a significant step forward for the NWDA in its work with Sub Regional Partnerships, ensuring that the implementation of the Regional Economic Strategy is consistent across the region and that co-ordination, management and implementation of projects takes place at the most appropriate level. In Merseyside that means The Mersey Partnership.
